Warranty & Recall

Honda is committed to delivering the ultimate joy of driving through its products and services. To enhance this ownership experience, Honda Bhutan offers a warranty for added peace of mind.

Every new Honda vehicle, including the Amaze, City, Civic, Elevate, Jazz, and WR-V, comes with a standard warranty of 12 months with 20,000 kilometers.

The warranty covers the repair or replacement of defective parts within the warranty terms, with no cost to the customer for parts or labor (Terms & Conditions apply). This optional coverage ensures your Honda remains protected and worry-free, providing long-lasting confidence in your vehicle ownership.

Warranty’s GOAL

Recall

“Being prepared for the unexpected is the foundation of lasting peace.”

AIRBAG

“Airbags are essential

for protecting you and your passengers,

but defective ones can be unhelpful,

which is why the SRS Airbag Recall is so important.

By checking your vehicle’s unique VIN, you can find out if your car needs a free airbag repair or replacement,

even if it seems to be working fine. Taking action now helps keep you and your loved ones safe on the road.”

Why Recall?

A recall is issued when a manufacturer identifies a safety defect, malfunction, or non-compliance with regulations in a product (like a vehicle, appliance, or toy). The goal of a recall is to protect consumers by removing potentially dangerous or faulty products from the market or fixing the issue to prevent harm.

Here’s why a recall might happen, particularly for something like a vehicle:

  1. Safety Concerns: If a safety-related defect is discovered, such as airbags (like in Honda’s case with Takata airbags) that could malfunction, deploy unexpectedly, or fail to deploy in an accident, the company will issue a recall to prevent accidents or injuries.
  2. Legal Compliance: Governments (like the NHTSA in the U.S.) require manufacturers to comply with safety standards. If a product doesn’t meet these standards, a recall is mandatory.
  3. Quality Control: Sometimes defects are found after the product has been sold due to design flaws, poor manufacturing, or unforeseen wear and tear, which can affect the product’s performance.
  4. Consumer Confidence: A recall helps preserve the reputation of the manufacturer by showing they’re taking responsibility and acting to ensure consumer safety.

How to Get Service?

If you’re looking to get service for your Honda vehicle related to a recall here’s how you can go about it:

  1. Check for Recalls:
First, you should confirm whether your vehicle is part of any active recalls, especially if it’s related to safety systems like the SRS (airbags, etc.). You can check this by:
    • Visiting the Honda recall website. Just enter your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), which is typically found on your dashboard or inside the passanger’s side door frame.
    • Contacting a Honda dealership for details on open recalls.
  2. Contact a Honda Dealer:
If your vehicle is affected by a recall or if you need recall servicing:
    • Call or visit our Honda dealership to schedule a service appointment. If it’s a recall, the service should be free of charge (unless there are additional repairs that aren’t part of the recall).
    • If your vehicle is out of warranty or you need general maintenance, ask about any ongoing promotions or service packages they may offer.
    • Please visit https://www.hondabhutan.com/contact-us/ or https://www.hondabhutan.com/company/teams/ to get contact information.
